Scope:

The workshop will last for three and a half days. The schedule will consist of 45-75min talks and will provide the time for participants to discuss their latest research. The organizers have brought together an excellent group of nonlinear optimizers interested in the new developments in the field of interior-point and filter methods.

General information:

Coimbra is 200 km to the north of Lisbon and 100 km to the south of Oporto. Both Lisbon and Oporto have international airports.
The best way to get to Coimbra is to take the train. Both in Lisbon and in Oporto one has to take a taxi from the airport to the train station. In Lisbon, if you are already in the city, there is a subway line to Gare do Oriente, a modern train station where all northbound trains stop. (Note that the subway does not reach the airport.)
You can check the train schedules here. Due to extensive rebuilding of the Lisbon-Porto railway line, some delays are to be expected.
In Coimbra, please exit at the train station Coimbra B and get a taxi to Hotel Quinta das Lágrimas.
The bus schedules are available here.

Exchange rates. Weather in Coimbra. Weather in Portugal.
