The Le Kangourou des mathématiques is an international association that brings together mathematics personalities from several countries. Its goal is to promote elementary math awareness by all means, and in particular by organizing a competition held on the same date for all the participating countries. It is intended to stimulate and to motivate the interest by maths of as many as possible students.

It organizes annually a math problem contest centered on logic combination problems for students from primary to high school. In Portugal it is supported by SPM, and the coordination is mainly done by CMUC members. In 2014 it involved 91 487 youngsters in Portugal alone, and more than 6 million worldwide.
